White Dahlia was founded by a U.S. Army veteran who learned early that discipline, reliability, and awareness are not optional when lives depend on them.

In 2003, I deployed to Iraq as part of a Blackhawk crew. In one mission, our aircraft flew directly into a massive dust storm that erased the horizon. Both helicopters in formation were forced into an emergency landing, eventually discovering our rotor blades had stopped less than a foot apart. Twelve inches separated us from disaster. Moments like that change the way you see the world.

Years later, after transitioning back into civilian life, I survived another near-death experience. A blood clot traveled from my leg into my lungs, causing a pulmonary embolism that made me black out multiple times in one afternoon. Doctors later told me I should not have survived.

Experiences like that reset your priorities.

For a time, I worked in corporate environments trying to rebuild direction after leaving the military. But something never felt aligned. The pressure was constant, yet it lacked purpose.

Eventually, I stepped away and began driving rideshare as a temporary bridge while I figured out what came next. During that time, one realization kept coming back to me: drivers were doing the work, using their vehicles, taking the risk, and keeping only a fraction of the revenue.

That sparked an idea.

What if I built a transportation company that focused on professionalism, consistency, and control?

My wife Denise had originally planned to open a bakery called White Dahlia. When she and I decided to start a chauffeur company, I chose the name in honor of her belief in me and the sacrifices she made so we could take the risk together.

​

The company began with two vehicles, one customer, and one simple rule:

Never be late.

​

That rule still defines everything we do.

Today, White Dahlia provides professional chauffeur service throughout San Diego and LA County for airport transportation, executive travel, special occasions, and private tours. Every ride reflects the same values that shaped my military service: discipline, attention to detail, and respect for our clients’ time.
